Enkle og subtile Skønhed

There was a very distinct and memorable bus ride I took down to Copenhagen. I gazed out over to the side and looked over the Øresund coastline at a beautiful 9 AM. The questions formed in my mind, "What was it about Scandinavia that makes it so tolerable and content to live here?" "Are these really some of the happiest people on Earth?" "What is happiness anyway?"
As we take a closer realization to the natural beauty that is found here in Scandinavia, we find that it isn't anything like the Grand Canyon, the Himalayas or even the Amazon River. All we see is subtle, lush land that delivers a calming, home effect. There isn't anything that over-stimulates the senses, but only a "hyggeligt," balanced miljø Scandinavians really do have an amazing environment around them and it's noticeable to all who take a closer look.
